Pianist David Ji is a widely recognized performer, who combines insightful understanding, fearless imagination, and sensitivity in mature performances. As a solo recitalist and collaborator, he has performed in major venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, National Opera Center and Kumho Arts Hall in Korea.
Mr.Ji is a winner of the Arthur Balsam Duo Competition in New York. He has worked with highly renowned soloists and members of orchestras in US, such as New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia and Seattle Symphony Orchestra. His past chamber music performances were broadcasted on TV and radio stations in Canada and Korea.
Born in South Korea, David Ji started playing the piano at the age of 6; moved to Canada and studied at the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music with Marc Durand and Andrè Laplante. Mr.Ji is in collaborative piano from Manhattan School of Music. He studies with Dr. Heasook Rhee and is the recipient of a full scholarship.
