Tal McGee is a New York based violist. He has performed as viola soloist with the Boulder Bach Festival and is a Houston Young Artists’ Concert Artist. As a chamber musician, he has performed in Seiji Ozawa Hall, the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, and in the Manhattan School of Music Centennial Chamber Concert. His chamber groups have won the Lillian Fuchs Chamber Competition in 2016, 2017, and 2018.
For the last two summers, Mr. McGee has been teaching and performing as a Young Artist Faculty at the Omaha Conservatory of Music. Tal McGee has performed in solo masterclasses for Pinchas Zukerman and Kim Kashkashian, and chamber masterclasses with Gilbert Kalish, Anton Nel, Lawrence Dutton, and the Muir String Quartet. Tal McGee is studying his Bachelor’s Degree in Viola Performance with Patinka Kopec at the Manhattan School of Music and will begin his Master’s degree at MSM in the fall studying with Pinchas Zukerman.
